Getting Started: Onboarding & Creating Deals

In our current phase, the deal creation process is a collaborative, hands-on effort to ensure the highest quality for our users. Here’s how we get your promotions live in the app.

Step 1: Contact Us to Create Your Business Account

First, ensure you have a standard PG Social user account. Then, email us directly. We will verify your business and upgrade your account to a "Business Account". This is a quick, one-time process that unlocks the business-specific features for you.

Step 2: We Create the Deal For You

Simply email us the details of the promotion you'd like to run. We'll work with you to craft the perfect listing and will handle putting it into the app. Once it's live, we'll notify you.

How to Redeem a Customer's Deal

Our secure QR code system is simple and fast. Here’s the step-by-step process for your staff.

1. Update Your Business Profile

Before you start redeeming, go to the "Me" tab, tap the "Edit Profile" button, and ensure your business name, location, and a short description are filled out. This information is shown to users on your deal listings.

2. Navigate to the Business Tab

After we've upgraded your account, you'll see a new "Business" tab in the bottom navigation bar of the app. Tap on it.

3. Tap 'Scan Redemption Code'

On the Business screen, you will see a prominent button labeled "Scan Redemption Code". Tap this to open the camera scanner. If prompted, please grant the app permission to use your camera.

4. Scan the Customer's QR Code

Your customer will show you a unique QR code on their phone's screen. Simply point your camera at their code. The app will automatically scan and verify it.

5. Confirmation

If the code is valid, you will see a large success message on your screen confirming the redemption. If there's an issue (e.g., the deal has already been redeemed or is expired), you will see an error message instead.
